The snake, I find is such a beautiful, sensual, mysterious, and symbolic creature in many different cultures. In Egyptian history, the snake adorned the crown of the pharaohs in ancient times. Serpents and snakes represent fertility or a creative life force. As snakes naturally shed their skin they become powerful symbols of rebirth, transformation, immortality, and healing. In some Abrahamic traditions Judaic scriptures, the serpent represents sexual desire and passion. In Hinduism, Kundalini primal energy is depicted as a coiled serpent, the residual power of pure desire.
